The index can tell you who wrote a cheque and when. It cannot tell you whether they replied, how long they took, what they asked for in diligence, or whether the process was worth your time. Only founders who have been through it know that, and nobody publishes it.
That is the gap this fills. If you have pitched a CPG investor in the last two years, we would like to know how it went.
What we ask. Which firm, roughly when, how you got introduced, whether they replied and how fast, how many meetings before a decision, what data they asked for, and whether the terms discussed matched what was eventually offered. Ten questions, about four minutes.
How it gets published. In aggregate only, and never attributed. A firm's profile might read “founders report a median 6 days to first reply, from 11 responses”. It will never say who said what, and no submission is published until enough responses exist for the number to be meaningless individually — currently five per firm.
What we will never do. Pass your name, your company or your answers to the firm you pitched. Sell the data. Publish a negative claim about a named individual. If you tell us something that identifies you, it does not appear on the site.
Why bother. Because the information asymmetry in fundraising runs one direction, and every investor already knows which founders are worth taking a meeting with. This is the other half of the ledger. Email contribute@cpg.vc and we will send you the form.
